When caliph ( Al Moez Ledin Allah Al Fatimi ) wanted invasion Egypt he sent his famous leader ( Jawhar Al Seekly )where he entered Egypt and began in building new capital on the occasion of arrival of Caliph and the beginning of Cairo on 340 acres where this area surrounded by ropes with bells to tell workers to start in digging when Caliph comes to Egypt but some of historians said some of crows standing on these ropes so all bells rang so all workers started in digging
The new capital called Cairo due to the appearance of the planet Mars in the sky which called by Arabic Cairo
In the first they build just wall of mud bricks and did not keep anything from him now with great eight gates still these gates remain till now and every gate has special name due to occasion or specific event happened plus a great palace for Caliph and great Masjit called ( Al Azhar ) which became the oldest university in the world
Actullay the history in Egypt changed due to this invasion in different fileds in Egypt
