A prince of the south

This prince called (Hammam). He born in 1709 and he died in 1769. He was  from famous tribe called (Al Hwarah ) where this tribe was living in south of Egypt and it was a great tribe from the number of people who belong to this tribe many thousands and also this tribe had strong influence in all south of Egypt.
This tribe has great history because its original was Arabs and they moved with Muslims forces to invade the Maghreb and they lived there even they defeated in great battle against the Fatimids.
They escaped from Fatimids to Egypt and they lived in the western desert but after that when Ottoman empire invaded Egypt they obligated to fight with Ottomans in their war and their performance were good but after that they defeated from Ottomans and they escaped to south of Egypt again.
Hammam had ambitious dream to establish independent emirate in south of Egypt for his tribe because in this time the Mamluks were very weak and he thought it is good time to establish strong state in the south.
Hammam was the first Egyptian thought about the independence and he was smart and he had good plan.
In the first he united all branches from his tribe to be under his rule and he established divans for lands and the people.
He attracted all Mamluks who escaped from Cairo especially from the commander of Mamluks which called (Ali Bik) who was shrewd too.
Hammam began to prepare strong military and he used the Mamluks to do that and he bought the weapons for this military and he started to build many castles to control and protect his military if the commander of Mamluks in Cairo think to attack him in the south. The commander of Mamluks when knew that and now Hammam has strong military from Arabs and Mamluks too and he can't win in the next battle against this leader who came from south of Egypt.
The commander of Mamluks asked the Russians to help him through sending advanced weapons to use it in the next battle.
Actually Hamman he well knew he will face the commander of Mamluks so he began the moving toward to Cairo and he made his cousin which called Ismael to be the commander of this military but the commander of Mamluks used the trick and cunning where he convinced Ismael to betray his cousin Hammam during the battle.
Unfortunately the treason occurred and Hammam defeated in this battle and he escaped to the south again to rebuild new military there but he died in his way to the south.
The commander of Mamluks entered his capital and killed many people there and burned all houses there and he left this devastating town.

Indeed I consider Hammam was brave man and real prince because he had ambitious dream about the freedom and he attempted to do that but he failed but the history will remember him like a prince who came from the south of Egypt.
